RIDDLES  


"A Riddle", c'est une énigme, une devinette.
Elles sont presque toujours basées sur le comique : jeux de mots, absurdité, grossièreté, tout est bon pour surprendre. 
Souvent la réponse n'a guère de sens, mais peu importe, tout cela est pour rire ... et faire un bon mot !

- The seagull flits all over the shore and the pup sh... all over the floor.

- A smell you can't get rid of.

- You go on ahead, I'll give these two a lift.

- They come out at night.

- Drop him a line.

- It waves.

- All of them.

- Any animal. A house can't jump !

There are 26 letters in the alphabet. Take 1 away and how many are left ?

- 26--One is a number.

12 What can a car run on besides gas?

- The road.

13 What gets wetter the more it dries? 

- A towel.

14 What never asks questions but must always be answered?

- The telephone.

15 What building in your town has the most stories? 

- The public library.
